The Northview girls soccer team got a second half hat trick from Jennifer Woodcox, her second of the season, in coming back for a 4-2 victory against South Vermillion on Thursday evening.
The Knights trailed 1-0 at halftime as Marlowe Stowe put the Wildcats on the board with just under six minutes remaining before the break.
In the second half, Woodcox got her first goal at the 25:56 mark with an assist from Ashley Woodcox.
Jennifer Woodcox would provide a great deal of pressure for the Knights with seven shots and tallied her second goal just four minutes later to take the lead. Tylee Graverson and Heather Foxx assisted.
With just under 19 minutes left in the game, Woodcox completed her hat trick on an assist from Graverson and Foxx completed the scoring with Graverson and Ahnya Alstott assisting.
South Vermillion didn't give up just yet with Stowe getting another goal with just 3:07 left on a penalty kick.
Abby Birkey had six shots, Ashley Woodcox had five and Foxx came through with four. Graverson and Chcarra Yockey both had three shots. On defense, Birkey and Cayla Yockey each had five steals with Sage Graverson and Foxx adding three.
Christina Arvin had six saves in net for Northview who improved to 4-9 and 3-1 in the WIC. The Knights will face Terre Haute South at home on Tuesday beginning at 5 p.m.
