Clay City, Brazil marching band results are in

CLAY CITY IMPERIAL REGIMENT

The Clay City Imperial Regiment competed in marching band invitationals at ISU and Greenwood last Saturday. At ISU the band placed 1st in Class D and won caption awards for best music, best visual, best drum major and best percussion. Other placings were: 2nd place, Southridge (Huntingburg); and 3rd place, Forest Park (Ferdinand.)

At the Greenwood invitational, the band placed 3rd and won best percussion award. Other placings were: 1st place, Heritage (Fort Wayne) and 2nd place Eastern (Greentown.)

Next action for the band is Saturday, October 1 at the ISSMA District Contest. Class D competition begins at 11 a.m., with Clay City being the last band to perform at 12:18 p.m.

NORTHVIEW

MARCHING KNIGHTS

Northview Marching Knights had a busy, as well as successful, Saturday. In the afternoon at ISU the Knights placed first with 77.3 points and won best music, best visual, best general effect, best percussion and best color guard awards.

At the Greenwood Invitational in the evening, Northview again placed first with a score of 74 and won best music, best visual, best general effect and best color guard.

The Marching Knights will travel to Southport High School this coming Saturday for ISSMA District competition. Class B starts at 2:54 p.m. with Northview performing at 3:07, and the awards ceremony at 4:00.
