Bluebirds have landed in Brazil

Thursday, October 20, 2005

A chapter of the Family Motor Coach Association, the Bluebirds are a group who share an enthusiasm for Bluebird luxury motor homes, manufactured by the same Ft. Valley, Ga. company that makes Bluebird school buses. The vehicles aren't cheap, a Bluebird coach typically costs between $800,000 and $950,000. Eighteen of the luxury coaches pulled into the area for the current rally, held just south of I-70 on property owned by Bluebird Bill Kirchner. From there, the group will make its way to their Rally in the Valley, an annual end-of-season affair held in Perry, Ga. But the club is in no real hurry to get there. "We may stop and play along the way," said club president Maurice DeShazer.
