Patricksburg woman arrested on drug charges

Around 2 p.m. Thursday, Brazil City Patrolman Jeff Bucklin responded to a call to assist Trans-Care personnel with a female who had awakened after passing out in a vehicle at 428 E. Church St. and was acting strangely.

Patrolman Bucklin detected the smell of burnt marijuana in the 1988 Chevrolet Christine Marie Traver, 42, of Patricksburg, Ind., had been found inside of, and performed a search.

During the vehicle search, the officer discovered marijuana in an amount less than 30 grams, a brass smoking pipe, rolling papers and a syringe with no cap attached.

Traver was arrested for Possession of marijuana/hashish, Possession of a controlled substance and Possession of paraphernalia. She was booked into Clay County Jail with a cash bond of $7,000 without .10 percent, and is awaiting arraignment as of press time.
