Tuesday, November 29, 2005

Six trees a shining, five shades of Christmas, four members of the family, three floors of fun, 2.4 miles off S.R. 42 all equal one beautiful house, the home of Dave and Soni Henry and their two sons, Patrick Czizek and David Henry, is dressed up and ready for the holidays. The cabin style house is at its best with every room boasting trees and holiday touches.

The main floor of the house is an open concept with a spectacular view of the bow and garland staircase. The tree in this room is decorated with the colors of red and gold and stands a proud 9 feet tall. All of the windows around this tree are also decked with garland and lights. Soni's Longaberger baskets and Dave's family's glass elephants are found in this room. Family pictures and mementos are throughout this family style house. The kitchen is off this room and is decorated for the holidays. Santa mugs, plates and cookies are found to the delight of every child.

The main floor of the house is where you will find the boys' rooms. David decorated his tree with cookie cutters to show everyone how much he enjoys cooking. A large, comfy bed and a TV also are in this teenager's room. David's other passion, skateboarding, is presented in the border of his room. Across the hall is found Patrick's room. Northview Marching Knights and golf play a major role in this room. Patrick decorated his tree with sports ornaments collected throughout the years.

Up the beautifully decorated staircase is the master suite of Dave and Soni. Another spectacular tree is in their sitting room. Various religious symbols and other gold ornaments are on this tree. A computer and nice, cozy chairs make this a perfect getaway for this couple. The master bedroom featuring a rustic bed and end tables is adorned by a beautiful earth-colored bedspread. A tree with family pictures sits quietly in the corner reminding the Henrys of their roots. Beautiful wreaths made by Ruth French are also found on this level.

The basement is a teenager's dream come true. A ping pong, air hockey and pool table are all here waiting to be used as well as a big screen TV which calls the Henrys and their friends to watch the Colts on weekends. A Northview Knight painted by Soni is proudly guarding one of the walls. A tree with a snowman theme is fond on this level. The furniture and accessories in this room are done with a palm tree theme.
