Brazil City Patrolman Todd Stemm gathers information Monday morning from Beasley Wrecker Service about an accident at the corner of Vandalia and National Avenue.

Shortly before 10 a.m. Monday, law enforcement and rescue personnel responded to an accident at the corner of Vandalia and National Avenue that sent one local woman to the hospital for minor injuries.

Amy Anslinger, 21, of Brazil, said she was unaware the light had changed while driving eastbound on National Avenue, in her 1994 Ford Taurus through a red light, striking the rear end of Sandra Clark's 2004 Toyota Tacoma pickup as Clark turned off Vandalia into the roadway.

Clark's vehicle stopped at the edge of the Charter Communications' parking lot at 604 E. National Ave.

Clark, 34, of Brazil, complaining of neck pain, was taken to the hospital by ambulance as a precautionary measure, while officials on the scene reported no injuries to Anslinger.

Traffic was confined to one lane as Poor Boy's and Beasley Wrecker Services removed vehicles from the scene.
