Daffodils raise cancer awareness

Friday, February 3, 2006

At the American Cancer Society's Daffodil Days kick-off event last week, Community Development Director Billie Kaufman told the crowd why participating in the event is an exciting way to share this hope with others while enjoying a touch of spring. The bright yellow Daffodil, one of the first flowers of spring, is a symbol of hope for a world free from cancer.

The Brazil Times has been periodically printing the volunteer/order form to take or place orders for Daffodils. The volunteer/order form can be found in this week's edition of the Weekender or found by contacting the American Cancer Society Terre Haute Chapter at (812) 232-2679.
