Betty Lindley of the Terre Haute Area 7 Agency on Aging met with a group of Clay County residents to explain the ins and outs of Medicare Part D Wednesday.
The informational gathering was sponsored by the YMCA of Clay County and co-sponsored by St. Vincent Clay Hospital. It allowed seniors to voice their questions and concerns regarding Medicare's new prescription drug plans.
"We sensed from the community that there was still confusion," said Andrea Baysinger, St. Vincent Clay's clinical and community education coordinator and a co-organizer of the event. "It's very intimidating for a lot of our seniors."
The seminar won't be the last chance for area Medicare users to take advantage of Lindley's expertise. Baysinger said Lindley plans to answer questions on the topic by appointment at St. Vincent Clay between now and May. Watch The Times for more information.
