Rewarding participation

Friday, March 10, 2006

Sixteen Clay City and Northview high school junior and senior first-year Building Trades students received jackets Thursday to commemorate their work in the program.

In their jackets, students from the 2005-06 program gathered for a picture, from left to right: (front row) Instructor Dan Dragon, Kenny Foxx, Tyler Sinders, David Hayes, Zach Godsey, Daniel Curtis, Michael Myers, Dan Mitten, Justin Corona, Adam Raines, John Williams and Tony Holmes; (back row) Scott Conklin, Matt Deakins, Phillip Gordon, Jacob Brown, Tim Holmes, Brian Metz, Josh Holt, Joe Burk, Bill Wells, Ben Witt, Austin Nicosin and Assistant Instructor Rod Clarke. First-year Building Trades Program student Michael McClelland was unavailable for the photo, but will also receive a jacket. Currently, there are 23 students enrolled in the program.

Nearly complete, the 32nd home built since the inception of the program 32 years ago is located in Clay View Estates. If anyone is interested in purchasing a home from the Building Trades program, contact Dan Dragon at 812-448-8321.
