Around 5 p.m. Friday, vehicles involved in a two car accident at the intersection of Vandalia St. and National Ave. were quickly removed from the road by emergency personnel to clear the way for evening traffic.
Several 911 calls shortly before 5 p.m. Friday mistakenly reported a vehicle involved in an two car accident had crashed through Adamson's East Side Laundry & Dry Cleaning at 711 E. National Ave.
Clay County Sheriff's Deputy Brison Swearingen told The Brazil Times that accident details are limited due to the ongoing investigation, but confirmed that speed was not a factor.
Swearingen said it appeared that one of the drivers failed to yield the right of way at the intersection, but it's unclear which.

Daniel Bain, 21 of Reelsville, was the driver of a 2000 Ford Mustang G/T.
York's vehicle sustained heavy damage along the driver's side while Bain's vehicle sustained heavy damage to the front end.
Trans-Care personnel did not treat any injuries at the accident scene.
Officers from the Brazil City Police Dept. handled traffic control while firefighters from the Brazil Fire Dept. performed general cleanup and eliminated the power source to the vehicles.
