The Eel River is expected to crest about one-half foot below flood stage at Bowling Green today, according to information supplied by the National Weather Service.
Mt. Carmel, Ill., should see the Wabash River crest about two feet above flood stage on Saturday.
"Water levels of two to four feet above flood stage will generally cause extensive bottomland flooding and flooding of some local roads close to the rivers," the National Weather Service wrote.
