It was a first for Clay County's Orville Redenbacher Popcorn Festival. Callie Froderman, Brittney Spugnardi, ChCarra Yockey, Kaleigh Bennett and Kelsey Haring attended a tea sponsored by Tri Kappa for the Popcorn Festival of Clay County. Not present were Kaity Lawson, Heather Palmer, Melissa Medearis and Kacy Cooksey.
The tea was at First United Methodist Church on Saturday.
On April 29 the girls will compete for scholarship money and the opportunity to advance to the Indiana State Festivals Association competition. The public is invited to the Popcorn Festival Pageant at Traditions. The time will be announced.
