Dr. Marvin G. Shew, Shew's Veterinary Clinic, Seelyville (left), has just administered an injection to Lacy as her owner, Marlene Diel (right) looks on. Tim Herrick assisted Dr. Shew. The dog was inoculated during the Clay County Humane Society's annual clinic at the Forest Park Pavilion on Saturday. The clinic will be repeated next Saturday, starting at 1-4 p.m.

Dogs can be vaccinated individually for Bordatella (kennel cough), rabies and Lyme disease. The 5-in-1 shot for distemper, adenovirus type 2, coronavirus, parainfluenza and parvovirus will also be available.

Vaccinations for feline leukemia, rabies and the 3-in-1 shot for distemper, calici and panleukopenia will be available for cats. The cost per shot is $8.

Event organizers request that all pets be restrained by a leash or in a pet carrier when brought to the clinic. This will insure the safety of everyone at the clinic.
