Last Man's Club bury time capsule at courthouse

Thursday, June 1, 2006

Last Man's Club (Korean Era) No. 5 President John Forrest, Chaplain Gene Mathews and Vice-president Glenn Lawson prepare to dig the hole in the Clay County Courthouse lawn for their Memorial Time Capsule in honor of the various branches of military and their service to the United States. Military memorabilia and artifacts, along with club and personal items from members of the group, were placed inside the capsule beginning with the 1754 French and Indian War through the present Iraq War. The capsule will be opened in 2056.

The public is invited to attend the June 10th dedication celebration on the lawn of the courthouse at 10:30 a.m.
