I am the 2005 Clay County Fair Princess. I would like to encourage all girls 12-15 years old to participate in the 2006 Clay County Fair Princess Pageant.
The pageant is a wonderful experience to be a part of. You meet new people, make new friendships, build self-confidence, and learn new skills that will last a lifetime.
Pre-pageant activities include a reception, a car wash, a fund raiser, fun get-togethers, we will practice on walking the runway, interviews, and learn a short dance routine.
I have been honored to be the Clay County Fair Princess this year. It has been the most awesome experience of my life.
I participated in so many great fair activities. I was honored to hand out ribbons and trophies to 4-H participants and see the expressions on their faces and know all their hard work had paid off. I had a blast at Kid's Fun Night, pedal tractor pull, dunking booth and the May fair and so much more, and yes it did rain on one of the parades and I almost froze at the Christmas Parade. But, thanks to Queen Elizabeth and all the smiling faces and people waving, I loved it all.
I am very sad that this year is coming to an end, but happy about all the wonderful memories.
Remember girls there are no losers in the pageant. No matter what, you win with all your new experiences, and get the opportunity to dress up and look pretty.
So girls come have fun with us. Hope to see you soon.
The pageant will be held at the 4-H Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 15, at 7 p.m. Any individual, business or organization may sponsor a contestant in the 2006 pageant. A recent wallet size photo and entry fee of $35 (make checks payable to Clay County Queen and Princess Pageant) must accompany all entries.
