Terre Haute mayor is ready to ride

Friday, June 23, 2006

TERRE HAUTE -- On Saturday, the Annual Mayor's Ride and Bike Show is being held at Wabash Valley Harley-Davidson Inc., 3912 South U.S. 41 in Terre Haute.

Registration for either parade, bike show or both starts at 10 a.m. and ends at noon.

The actual police-lead parade starts at 1 p.m.

This is an annual event for Mayor Kevin Burke. The proceeds are donated to the Terre Haute Humane Society.

Last year, more than 1,200 individuals participated in the event with more than 700 motorcycles riding in the parade.

The staff of Wabash Valley Harley-Davidson and the members of Wabash Valley Harley Owner's Group invite the entire Wabash Valley community to join them at this annual event.

All riders, drivers and walkers are invited to participate, not just those riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
