Band going 'On the Road Again'

The Brazil Concert Band, under the direction of Matthew S. Huber, will present "On The Road Again" for its second mini road tour of the season.

On Sunday, July 9th, the Brazil Concert Band will perform at the Forest Park Band Shell at 8 p.m., rain or shine. The program offers "The Corcoran Cadets," "The Rhine Wines," "Convention of the Cordials" and "El Capitan Waltzes" all by Sousa, "Theme From New York, New York" by Kander, Percy Grainger's "Country Gardens," "Shenandoah" by Ticheli, "The Man of the Hour" by Fillmore, "Golden Days" by Wells, "Legion of Honor" by Jewell and "Light Cavalry Overture" by Fillmore.

On Monday, July 10, the BCB will participate in WTWO-TV News Channel 2's "Alive at Five" broadcast from Forest Park beginning at 5 p.m. The televised event will feature marches by Sousa, Jewell and King.

Tuesday, July 11, finds the Brazil Concert Band at DePauw University in Greencastle at 7 p.m.

With its appearance sponsored by the Greencastle Civic League, the BCB will present "National Emblem," "Fugue on Yankee Doodle," "Apotheosis," "Hail to the Spirit of Liberty," "The Fourth of July," "The Chimes of Liberty," "Armed Forces Salute," "The Naval Reserve," "The Music Man," "The Invincible Eagle," "America, the Beautiful" and "The Stars and Stripes Forever."
