George Fulk uses a tow truck to right Shealyn Meadows' overturned vehicle in a field near the intersection of CR 200 W and Meridian Road.

A June 24 one-vehicle accident near the intersection of CR 200 W and Meridian Road was caused by loose gravel on the roadway, according to a Clay County Sheriff's Department report.

Shealyn M. Meadows, 18, of Brazil, the driver of the vehicle, suffered minor injuries and was treated at St. Vincent Clay Hospital.

According to authorities, she was attempting to turn from 200 W onto Meridian when her Chevrolet Cavalier skidded on loose gravel, left the roadway and overturned in a field.

Meadows' mother, Lisa White, said her daughter was returning home from a shift at Papa John's when the accident occurred. The sheriff's department's report gave no indication that alcohol or drugs were involved.
