2006 fair princess to be chosen Saturday

The 2006 4-H Princess Contestants posed with the 2005 princess. Thirteen young ladies will compete for the title of Miss Clay County Princess 2006. The pageant will be held at the Clay County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall on Saturday, July 15th, at 1 p.m. The public is invited to attend and support these young ladies. Admission is free but a cash donation will be accepted at the door.

This year's contestants are as follows in alphabetical order:

- Caroline Ann Beyers, 14, is the daughter of Patrick and Lisa Beyers. She will be an 8th grader this fall at Clay City High School and is being sponsored by Jackson Township Farmhands 4-H Club.

- Baleigh Kay Burns,12, will be a 6th grader at North Clay Middle School. She is being sponsored by Dr. Gary Staadt and is the daughter of Scott and Marian Burns.

- Alyssa Ann Clarke, 14, is the Daughter of Rod and Elaine Clarke. She will be a freshman at Northview High School this fall and is being sponsored by Advantage Construction.

- Briana Lee Cook, 12, will be a 7th grader at North Clay Middle School this fall. She is the daughter of Anthony (Craig) and Bridget Cook and is being sponsored by C.C. Cook & Son Lumber Co., Inc.

- LaKyla Cook, 13, is the daughter of La Fonda Woolf and Bruce Cook. LaKyla will be an 8th grader at Clay City Junior/Senior High this fall and is being sponsored by 3-K-Ranch.

- Katlyn Marie Cowden, 14, will be a freshman at Northview High School this fall. She is the daughter of LeeAnn and Benjamin Hamblen and is being sponsored by Shear One Hair Salon.

- Shelby Lynn French, 13, is being sponsored by Clay Community Medical Clinic. Shelby will be in 8th grade this fall at North Clay Middle School. Her parents are Dr. Charles and Susie French.

- Bonnie Jane Froderman, 15, will be a sophomore at Northview High School this fall. She is the daughter of Fred and Trish Froderman and is being sponsored by Clear Lake Veterinary Hospital.

- Emilie Mae Elizabeth Gottsche, 14, is the daughter of Rick and Mary Gottsche and is being sponsored by Kiddie Korner Daycare. Emilie will be a freshman at Northview High School this fall.

- Kelly "Kacey" Legault, 15, will be a sophomore at Northview High School this fall. She is the daughter of Mac and Jennifer Legault and is being sponsored by John Howes State Farm Insurance.

- Emma Alexandra Nicoson, 12, will be a 7th grader at North Clay Middle School this fall. She is the daughter of Jay and Deniela Nicoson and is being sponsored by Edward Jones/Toni Carter.

- Whitney Renee Sampson, 15, will be a sophomore at Northview High School this fall. She is the daughter of Shannon Sampson and Mike Sampson. Whitney is being sponsored by Carbon Heating and Air.

- Allison Rae Stearley, 15, is the daughter of Rick and Jan Stearley. She will be a sophomore at Northview High School this fall and is being sponsored by Stearley's Carpet and Installation.
