Ready for the 4-H Fair fish fry

Jim Marshall of Neptune Foods sinks another batch of breaded fish fillets into the fryer during the Clay County Fair Tuesday.

The fish used for the fry-- all 700 pounds of it-- comes to the fair in frozen blocks. It's then cut down to size in an industrial slicer, whisked through a breading line and dropped into one of four 80-pound fryers in batches of 30-35 fillets.

Proceeds from the fish fry benefit Clay County's 4-H organization.
