The general public can help bridge the gap between deployed soldiers and their families.

When the family of a service member is facing a crisis, it is difficult to inform the military member. The family can't just pick up a phone and call him or her, so what are they to do?

The American Red Cross Valley Chapter is reaching out to families and military members by closing the gap during deployment.

The Wabash Valley Chapter is searching for local volunteers to train to become responders.

Volunteering to become an Armed Forces Emergency Responder will help service members be notified when a tragedy or crisis occurs in their family.
