Old favorites celebrate Huber's 25 years with band

The Brazil Concert Band, under the direction of Matthew S. Huber, will present "Old Favorites" during the month-long observance of Director Huber's 25 years on the podium.

The concert is set for Sunday Aug. 20, at 8 p.m., at the Forest Park Band Shell or Pavilion if rain.

Band members have been choosing their old favorites and this week includes "Onward Up-ward" (Ann Gibson), "Cyrus the Great" (John P. Huber), "Instant Concert" (Betty Niswonger), "The Fairest of the Fair" (Rhonda Hine) and "Third Suite" (Jim Deal)

Also, "Them Basses" (Chris Sanders), "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" (Allen Basore), "Sea Songs (Doris Gambill), "Band of America" (Wayne Parkins) and "Poet and Peasant Overture" (Steve Garlits).
