With no new ordinances to consider, the Brazil City Council cleaned up two items on its Aug. 8 agenda.
Ordinances 22-2006 and 23-2006 passed the council 4-0 on second and final readings.
The first ordinance closes a portion of Lincoln Street and surrounding alleys to make room for construction of a storage facility. The only family affected, the Sanderses, had no objection to the measure.
Ordinance 23-2006 will place a stop sign at the intersection of Luther and Knight streets.
Present at the meeting were council members Pat Heffner, Bill Lovett, Ann bradshaw and Martin Beasley. Absent were Councilman Jim Sheese and City Attorney Joe Trout.
