A Sullivan County man seen wandering near anhydrous ammonia tanks was arrested on two drug related charges last week.
Shortly before 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, the owner of Howesville Farm Service Inc., 1390 W. S.R. 246, Clay City, and an employee noticed a man wandering around the company's anhydrous ammonia tanks and called 911 dispatchers.
While Clay County Sheriff's Deputies Brison Swearingen and Jason Frazier were being dispatched to the area the man started to leave.
The owner and employee tried to question the man -- who ran away, but was captured -- and held him until the officers arrived.Christopher Dale West, 31, was taken into custody for preliminary charges of possession of chemical reagents or precursors with intent to manufacture a controlled substance and dealing in methamphetamine.
During West's booking at the Clay County Justice Center, officials discovered an outstanding arrest warrant from Sullivan County. He was booked into the jail with a $25,000 cash bond to await arraignment.
