I grew up in Sugar Ridge township and graduated from Clay City High School. I received a B.S. Degree from Indiana State University and then served in the U.S. Army for two years during the Vietnam War. My wife, Judy, and I lived in the Cory community for 17 years befre moving to Brazil in 1992.

I served previously as Clay County Recorder for Five and a half years and was Director of the Indiana State Land office for four years. my work experience includes working with the Federal Land Bank Association of Sullivan, 22 years in banking serving as branch manager at First Bank and Trust at Clay City for 15 years and First State Bank in Brazil for five years before being employed by Community Land and Home Mortgage. I have held a Real Estate Salesperson's License since 1983 when I worked as a Reality Specialist for the Department of Natural Resources, abandoned mine land program. I am currently employed as an Instructional Assisstant at North Clay Middle School.

My community service has involved several organizations including: Board of Trustees of Clay County Hospital and St. Vincent Clay Hospital, Clay County Extension Board, Habitat for Humanity of Clay County, Clay County Genealogical Society, Cory Volunteer Fire Department, El Shaddai Emmaus Community and First United Church of Christ. I have taken leadership positions in many of these organizations.

My plan is to cooperate with every one involved in the assessing process and keep the records current. If elected for the position of Clay County Assessor, I pledge to be a full time Assessor serving all the citizens of Clay County, and I ask for your support and vote in the upcoming general election.
