An early morning accident in Clay County sent four people to the hospital Sunday.
Shortly after 1 a.m., members of the Clay County Sheriff's Dept., Clay City Police Dept., Lewis Township Volunteer Fire Dept. and three ambulances from Trans-Care and South Western Ambulance were dispatched to an area near County Road 1350 South, near Jasonville, to where a single vehicle apparently hit a tree head-on.
Four people were taken to Sullivan County Community Hospital, where the driver and one of the passengers were later airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
The other two victims were later treated and released.
The names of those involved in the accident have not yet been released due to the pending investigation.
