Hazel M. Quick, 94, Brazil, died at 7:05 a.m., Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at Holly Hills Health Care Facility.
Born Oct. 2, 1912, in Hillsdale, Ind., she was the daughter of Charles Frederick Farner and Nina Ethel Smith Farner.
She graduated in 1932 from Montezuma High School.
In her work career, she was employed at Mallory Corp in Greencastle, G.C. Murphy in Brazil for 13 and one-half years and last worked at the Vermillion County Nursing Home, retiring in 1974.
Hazel lived at Cooper Towers and then at Jackson Gardens since 1985. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and the V.F.W. No. 1127 Auxiliary.
She was active at the senior center and helped to organize the Kitchen Band. She had attended the Harmony United Methodist Church in the past.
Survivors include her two daughters, Betty Lou Underwood, Harmony, and Georgia Lee Smith and her husband Charles, Coatesville; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons Ronald V. Quick, Joseph Leroy Quick, and Perry V. Quick; three grandchildren, Pamela Marie Quick, Tawnja Underwood and Deborah Quick.
Services will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lawson-Miller Chapel with Rev. Selby officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from noon-2 p.m.
