No injuries in truck fire

Several motorists traveling along Interstate 70 called 911 dispatchers at the Clay County Justice Center around 2:20 p.m. Tuesday to report a vehicle fire.

Members of Indiana State Police, Trooper Chris Carter, and Posey and Jackson Township volunteer fire departments were dispatched to the scene of a fully engulfed tri-axel dump truck carrying limestone on fire in the westbound lane near the 17-mile marker.

According to limited information provided by the Indiana State Police, the driver, Steve Luttrell, was not injured during the fire.

Curtis Wrecking Service removed the truck from the scene around 5:30 p.m.
