The Northview Knights stayed perfect this season by scoring three volleyball wins on the way to a championship at the Crawfordsville Tournament on Saturday.
Perhaps even more impressive is that the Knights still haven't lost a single game in a seven match winning streak to open the season.
On Saturday, the Knights got 20 digs and two kills from Kyler Clark and Lindsay Tho-mas ran the offense well in ringing up 64 assists, compiling three aces from the service line and adding nine digs.
At the net, Lottie King hammered out 21 kills with eight blocks and three aces with Ashley Hull providing 12 kills, seven aces and three blocks. Kaley Huffman contributed 14 kills and 14 digs to go with three blocks and two aces. Sophomore Brittaney Long helped out the cause by adding nine kills, four aces and two digs with Hannah Emmert sending down five kills and three aces. Cari Laue added four kills and three aces.
"We were able to spread our offense around some," commented coach Scott McDonald. "We played early and we got off to a slow start. Our passing left a lot to be desired. But I think the key was serving well."
The Knights (7-0 overall, 1-0 WIC) travel to Linton on Thursday night for a 6 p.m. match with the Miners.
