Newspaper changes look of website

Wednesday, August 29, 2007

The new-look Brazil Times' website.
For several years, The Brazil Times has provided news coverage on the World Wide Web.

The website has seen its share of progression throughout the years and has now undergone another change.

The Times' website, www.thebraziltimes.com, now has a new look.

Not only does the website have a new look, several additions have been made.

The website will now offer a blog spot. In addition, those who may be interested in blogging for the newspaper should give the newspaper a call at 446-2216.

More photographs will be available on the website, featuring photo galleries.

Comments are now easier to post on the website for those who wish to become registered users of the website.

The site will also offer many other new items, including:

o video clips from around the world,

o the ability to post photographs as a registered user, and

o a feature on the site regarding local topics.

Those interested in using the site to register comments or other items must register and become an active member.

The new website was constructed with the community in mind, hence the need for participation.

In addition, stories will be updated regularly on the website. Breaking news will be posted immediately and a complete version of a breaking news story will be printed in the first available issue of The Brazil Times.

Those who haven't visited www.thebraziltimes.com are encouraged to do so in order to post opinions. Speaking of opinions, The Times' staff encourages all readers to check out the weekly polls and vote.

For more information regarding the new website, call 446-2216. Ask for Lynne Llewellyn or Jason Moon.

Note: The nature of the Internet makes it impractical for our staff to review every comment. If you feel that a comment is offensive, please Login or Create an account first, and then you will be able to flag a comment as objectionable. Please also note that those who post comments on thebraziltimes.com may do so using a screen name, which may or may not reflect a website user's actual name. Readers should be careful not to assign comments to real people who may have names similar to screen names. Refrain from obscenity in your comments, and to keep discussions civil, don't say anything in a way your grandmother would be ashamed to read.

Great new look!
