Schedule set for Saline City Picnic

The following is a schedule of events for the Saline City Annual Labor Day Picnic, scheduled for Sept. 1-3 at Graves Field.

Saturday, Sept. 1:

7-10 a.m. -- Clay City Band Boosters Breakfast

7 a.m. -- Co-Ed Softball Games begin

8 a.m. -- Golf Scramble

4 p.m. -- Saline City Picnic Association's Annual Jonah Fish Fry

2-5:30 p.m. -- Registration, weigh-in for Truck Pull

6 p.m. -- ITPA Truck Pull

8:30 p.m. -- Janie Fricke in concert

Sunday, Sept. 2:

7-10 a.m. -- Clay City Band Boosters Breakfast

7 a.m. -- Co-Ed Softball Games begin

9 a.m. -- Bluegrass for Billy begins

10 a.m. -- Church service

11 a.m. -- Bluegrass for Billy continues, all day and evening

11 a.m.-8 p.m. -- Chicken and noodles, Salisbury steak or roast beef dinner, served by Clay City Band Boosters

5-6:30 p.m. -- Registration, weigh-in for Tractor Pull

7 p.m. -- Tractor Pull

Monday, Sept. 3:

7-10 a.m. -- Clay City Band Boosters Breakfast

8 a.m. -- Co-Ed Softball Games begin

10 a.m. -- Bluegrass for Bill begins, all day and evening

11 a.m.-8 p.m. -- Chicken and noodles, Salisbury steak or roast beef dinner, served by Clay City Band Boosters

12:30 p.m. -- Registration for Baby Contest

1 p.m. -- Cutest Baby Contest

1:30 p.m. -- Little Prince and Princess of Saline Contest

1:30 p.m. -- Registration for Little Mister and Miss Saline City

2 p.m. -- Little Mister and Miss Saline City Contest

3 p.m. -- Sign-in for kids' pedal pull, bunny catch and greased pig contest

4:30 p.m. -- Kids' pedal tractor pull

5:30 p.m. -- Bunny catch and greased pig contest

5:30 p.m. -- Registration for horse pull

7 p.m. -- Horse pull

There will be no charge for parking. All entertainment on the stage and pull strip area are no charge either. Donations are greatly appreciated to help the picnic association continue to offer entertainment and maintain the grounds and buildings.

Note: No alcoholic beverages will be allowed on the grounds. Camp sites will be available and those wishing to attend are asked to bring their own lawn chairs.
