Lillie Ferris Tabor, 80, Brazil, died at 7:56 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2007 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

Born July 2, 1927, in Hampshire, Tenn., she was the daughter of William Henry and Maggie Cates Targett.

She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She attended Way of the Cross Assembly of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Bishenglish "Ed," James "Jim," Willard Eugene "Gene" and William "Bill" Targett; one sister, Marie Stevens; son-in-law, William Leo Staggs and her first husband, Ollie Floyd Ferris.

Ollie and Lillie had been married for 48 years before his death in 1996.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Andrew Tabor who she married Oct. 4, 2002; one son, Floyd Ferris of Brazil; two daughters, Sharon Staggs of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Darla Brown and husband Michael of Brazil; two step-daughters, Deliah "Dee" Batchlor of Brazil and Patricia "Pat" Douglas of Owensburg, Ind.; 10 grandchildren, Lance and Dakota Brown, Caleb, Shane and Maggie Ferris and William, Sherry and Paul Staggs, Darla Jones and Lisa Kneener and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be noon- 2 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 5, at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Robert Stultz officiating.

Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
