The Clay County Commissioners signed a proclamation Tuesday making September 2007 Kennedy Crossing Bingo Month. On hand for the celebration were (from left)?Commissioners Jack Withers and Charlie Brown, Annunciation Catholic Church representative Mary Ann Froderman, commissioner Paul Sinders and church representative Charles Hear.
With help from the Clay County Commissioners, Annunciation Catholic Church managed to get September 2007 named Kennedy Crossing Bingo Month.

Kennedy Crossing Bingo will celebrate 50 years of bingo every Sunday throughout September with special games, prizes and free food.

The longest running bingo in Clay County, spanning more than 50,000 games, started at the Annunciation Church School.

In 1990, according to the proclamation passed by the commissioners Tuesday, the games were moved to Kennedy Crossing.

Bingo at Kennedy Crossing is sponsored by Annunciation Catholic Church and helps fund many activities for the church, including the church pre-school.

The proclamation was ordered to observe the month of September with appropriate programs and activities.
