John Rudolph Deakins, age 89, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at the Franklin United Methodist Community in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin and a former resident of Reelsville, Indiana.

A graveside service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday (today) at the Summit Lawn Cemetery in Brazil. Friends may call on Wednesday (today) from 9-11 a.m. at the Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin and also from 2-4 p.m. at the Lawson-Miller Memorial Chapel in Brazil. A military honor guard will be conducted at the graveside service at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
