Mary Olive Hutcheson, 97, Fairfield, Ohio, formerly of Greencastle, died on Monday, Sept. 10, 2007.
Born April 2, 1910, in Vigo County, she was the daughter of Charles Washington and Mary Franklin Hamilton.
She married Claude Hutcheson in Seelyville, on Dec. 25, 1928. He preceded her in death in 1977.
She was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Indianapolis and Cincinnati and was a homemaker, avid gardner and a member of the Golden Circle Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Marvin, and six siblings.
Survivors include children Frank Hutcheson and wife, Sharon, Greencastle, Norman Hutcheson and wife Linda, Nokomis, Ill., Ralph Hutcheson and wife Martha, Indianapolis, Ellen Mood, Lexington, N.C., and Ruth Wells and husband Larry, Fairfield, Ohio; daughter-in-law Myra Hutcheson; brothers Omer Hamilton and James Hamilton; sister Edwina Leaton; 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will take place at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Greg Hutcheson officiating. Burial will follow at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
