The Tri-County Club met at the home of Jeanne Steuerwald on Aug. 18, 2007 at 2 p.m. Winifred Allen gave devotions from Romans 12:6, Philippian 4:8 and James 1:3&4. Be an encourager Optimistic person. After the picnic-type lunch Jean Alsip called the meeting to order.

The Pledge of Allegiance and Homemakers Creed were lead by Claralou Thompson. Ruth Timan lead the group singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat." Roll call was answered by 12 members. Secretary Treasurer report was given by Ellen Thomas, Jeanne Steuerwald read about Abraham Lincold and Linda Allen suggested the Power of Apology and collected the flower fund.

During the business session 2007-08 program books were checked a report of Ladies Day at the 4-H Fair was given and Thank You noted read.

"Household Pests and Pesticides was the lesson given by Judy Allen. She spoke of storaging pesticides, keep the away from children off your skin and to be sure you wash all fruits and vegetables.

After closing the meeting by singing the club prayer, a candy contest was given and won by Claralou Thompson. Lucky plates and napkin winners were Jean Rowings, Laura Kennedy, and Ellen Thomas.

The next meeting will be Sept. 18 at the home of Laura Kennedy starting at 7 p.m.
