Officials make drug arrest

Friday, September 14, 2007

A rural Clay County man was arrested for dealing marijuana Wednesday evening.

Members of the Clay County Sheriff's, Brazil City Police and the Clay City Police departments are still investigating a residence where authorities believe Todd Britton allegedly was dealing marijuana.

Around 6 p.m. Wednesday, officers served a search warrant at a rural Clay County residence and discovered three pounds of marijuana, digital scales and several other items commonly used to sell marijuana. An unidentified amount of a Schedule 4 controlled substance was also located in the residence.

Britton, 26, was taken into custody and booked into the Clay County Justice Center on preliminary charges of dealing marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a Schedule 4 controlled substance.
