In an effort to help in the beautification and clean-up of the Town of Staunton, the Staunton Town Council has designated today, Saturday Sept. 15, as Community Clean-up Day.
Dumpsters have been placed on the northeast corner of Monroe and Columbus Streets. Disposal of any items other than tires and chemicals are being accepted in these dumpsters between the hours of 8 a.m.-6 p.m. today only.
Any town residents who wish to use these dumpsters will need to bring a copy of their most recent water bill stub to show to the personnel stationed at the dumpsters.
Our sympathies go out to the family of Lenora Lutes, who passed away this week. She was a longtime resident of Staunton and will be greatly missed.
