Knights stretch win streak to four games

Northview has had its offensive in full effect during the conference season and continued its onslaught with a 14-goal outburst on Saturday versus Brown County to pick up a 14-0 girls' soccer victory.

The Knights got goals from seven different players to improve to 5-4 overall and 3-1 in the Western Indiana Conference.

Less than a minute into play, Ashley Woodcox led a pass to Jenny Woodcox for the game's first score. Just two minutes afterwards, Jenny Woodcox scored once again on a combination pass from the feet of Ashley Woodcox and Charlie Greichgauer.

At the 29-minute mark, Northview's offense began to heat up again when Tylee Graverson shot a centering pass to Carlee Bell for the game's third goal. Ashley Woodcox got into the action for two goals in two minutes on assists from Greichgauer and midfielder Heather Foxx.

Cayla Yockey and Greichgauer scored on unassisted tallies before Jenny Woodcox finished the first half scoring with a pair of goals and the Knights led 9-0.

Christina Arvin came out of goal in the second half to get into the scoring action with two tallies with assists coming from Greichgauer.

Greichgauer, Bell and Graverson all found the net to cap the scoring.

Greichgauer had four assists in the match with Ashley Woodcox adding three. Both Arvin and Rachel Alstott had saves in net.

Northview's defense of Yockey, Abby Birkey, Tiffany Young and Ashley Clarke held the Eagles to just four shots.

The Knights take a four-game winning streak into a road trip to Crawfordsville this evening.
