Arnold Houser, Sr. of Brazil, passed away peacefully on Sept. 14, at 1:30 p.m., at Regional Hospital.
He was born Feb. 23, 1928, in Terre Haute, to Clarence and Mary Houser.
He worked for Bemis in Terre Haute and retired in 1990.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary, two sons, Donald and Arnold Houser, Jr., two sisters, Elizabeth and Beulah, son-in-law Larry Wallace, and two grandsons.
He is survived by his brothers Clarence and Virgil, daughters Linda Wallace, Sondra Camadine and husband Ed, Carol Backfish and husband Roger, Karen John and husband Brent, Tammy Wildman and husband Andrew, sons Ronald Houser and wife Connie, Jack Houser and wife Helen, Patrick Houser and wife Tamara, and daughter-in-law Suellen. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and cousins as well as one Aunt , Annie.
Services will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel Tuesday (today) at 11:00 a.m. with Clarence Houser III and Guy Lipkins officiating.
Burial will follow at Highland Lawn Cemetery in Terre Haute. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 5-7 p.m. Visit www.lawson-millerchapel.com
