Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30 a.m. Doug Parkey is the minister. Children's Church, Wee Worship and extended nursery are at 10:30 a.m. in the Educational Building. If you need transportation to morning worship, please phone the church office at 446-3211. The van is wheel chair equipped.

The Fall Youth Kick-off -- "Believer's Boot Camp"-- will be held Sunday afternoon from 4-6:30 p.m. at the home of Jeff and Michelle Buell. This is for all youth ages 3 years and up. Any Child under the age of 5 needs to be accompanied by an adult.

There will be no Sunday evening service this week. Wednesday evening Bible Study and Prayer Group meets at 7 p.m.

Happy Anniversary greetings go out to Donna and Alan Buell. We rejoice with Julie Elliot, who was baptized on Saturday Sept. 15.

We will have church committee meetings this Sunday, in preparation for Charge Conference in October. Everyone who is on a committee should plan to stay after church service.

Happy birthday to my grandson-in-law Scott Aselage today, Sept. 22.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church's basement on the last two Wednesday afternoons of each month from 3-5 p.m. The next Food Pantry day will be next Wednesday, Sept. 26. Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome. We truly appreciate the support of many churches, civic organizations, and individuals in helping to make this needed outreach a success.

A container is located in the Staunton Town Office for anyone who would like to contribute non-perishable food items.

Please remember to keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families. Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones. Go out of your way to be kind to someone, and pray for everyone.
