STAUNTON FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH
Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30. Doug Parkey is the minister. Children's Church, Wee Worship and extended nursery are at 10:30 a.m. in the Educational Building.
If you need transportation to morning worship service, please phone the church office at 446-3211. The van is wheel chair equipped. Wednesday evening Bible Study and Prayer Group meets at 7 p.m.
Our fall wiener roast and hayride will be at the home of B. J. and Samantha Biddle on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 5 p.m. Hot dogs, buns, chili, bean soup, and drinks will be provided. Please bring a dessert or finger food to add to the meal; also be sure to bring your lawn chair. We will also have a song and praise time that evening, in place of evening service at the church.
STAUNTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
We will have a Memorial Service at the church at 4 p.m. this Sunday to honor Bill Pine's sister, who passed away recently.
Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. Church service begins at 10:30 a.m. David Brown is our Pastor and his wife Elaine brings the Children's Message. Glenna Simons is the pianist.
Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church's basement on the last two Wednesday afternoons of each month from 3-5 p.m. The next Food Pantry day will be next Wednesday, Oct. 31. Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome. We truly appreciate the support of many churches, civic organizations, and individuals in helping to make this needed outreach a success.
A container is located in the Staunton Town Office for anyone who would like to contribute non-perishable food items.
Please remember to keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families. Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones. Go out of your way to be kind to someone, and pray for everyone.
