She was born Jan. 17, 1947, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Donald Francis Cubel, Sr. and Delores Ann Anthony Cubel. She graduated from Brazil High School, Class of 1965.
Judy worked in law enforcement as a correctional officer at the Department of Corrections for more than 14 years and last worked for the Clay County Sheriffs Department as a jailer.
She was a member of the Annunciation Church and attended school at Annunciation grade school prior to attending public school. She was a member of the American Legion Post No. 2 Auxiliary. She was a loving mom and grandma "NeNe."
Survivors include her children, Michael Timko and wife Christine, San Antonio, Tx., Michelle Doyle, and Kari Pell and husband John, Brazil, seven grandchildren, Zachary Timko, Shawn Doyle, Thomas Harland, Avery Harland, John Michael Pell, Pierce Timko, and Katie Rose Pell, two sisters Beverly Martin and husband Ron, Brazil, and Sharon Hahl and husband Ed, Arizona, several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Donald F. Cubel, Jr., and one infant grandson Michael George Timko III.
Services will be held Monday, Oct. 29, at 8 p.m., with Father Stephen Jarrell officiating. Cremation was chosen with ashes to be buried at a later date.
Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 p.m., prior to services.
If friends so desire, donations may be made directly to the family or to the Hospice of the Wabash Valley. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
