Regina Farris, 92, died at 4:46 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at her Brazil home.

She was born June 5, 1915, in Brazil, the daughter of Ira B. and Josephine Lete Alsip. Following graduation from Brazil High School she attended Indiana State Teachers College, Terre Haute. In addition to teaching, she owned and managed her own office supply business in Bogalusa, La. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Brazil and Tri Kappa Sorority.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Evelyn Pell, and her husbands, John Nance, George Nash and Charles Farris.

She is survived by four nephews, Donald M. Pell, M.D. and wife Paula, St. Petersburg, Fla., John R. Pell, II DVS, Punta Gorda, Fla., James A. Pell and wife Kathy, Petersburg, Ind., and Robert A. Pell and wife Jan, Brazil.

Moore Funeral Home was chosen to provide cremation services. Visitation with the family will be 3:30-4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, at Moore Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. Gary Scoggins officiating.
