Imogene Nobles, 85, Brazil, died at 3:24 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, at Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was born Dec. 8, 1921, in Staunton, as the daughter of Henry and Zelma Elzada Rodgers Nelson.

She graduated from Staunton High School. During World War II she worked at Allisons in Indianapolis. She was then employed at Columbia House in Terre Haute until her retirement.

She was married to Charles Nobles Jr. who survives her. She is also survived by two sons, Larry Nobles and wife Rita of Staunton and Kelly Nobles and wife Rose, Terre Haute; one sister, Josephine Thompson, Staunton; grandchildren Randy and Mindy Nobles, Teresa and Doug Youngblood, Jennifer and Matt Downey, Richard and Cindy McDonald, Micky McDonald and Jill VanNatten and Natalie and Graig Cottrell; step-grandchildren, Kristol, Nathan, Jr., and Shane Hedden; and seven great-grandchildren Jacob, Elizabeth, John, Kate, Nick, Matt, and Katrina.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Debra Sue Head; and two sisters, Mignon Hallmark and Naomi Lucas.

Moore Funeral Home was chosen to provide funeral services. A private family graveside funeral service will be conducted at Clearview Cemetery.
