John Scherb (not pictured) donated $240 made from selling flavored popcorn at this year's Clay County Popcorn Festival to the Open Hands Preschool, located inside First United Methodist Church. Pictured are (from left): brother of John Scherb, "Farmer Ron" Scherb, Ron's grandson and student of Open Hands Preschool Zach Swearingen, Assistant Director Sarah Lawrence and Preschool Director Chris Pestoff. The preschool has a total of 47 students and the donation will go toward their scholarship program.
