School Board delays monthly meeting

Friday, November 9, 2007

The Clay Community School Corporation school board made the decision to postpone its November meeting before Monday's bargaining session, according to board president Terry Barr.

In an e-mail to The Times, Barr said the board's decision to delay the meeting until Monday, Nov. 26, was made when the bargaining session was announced.

The board is slated to make decisions on non-teaching staff raises in the November meeting, and it felt making those decisions before a settlement would be ill advised.

The board is expecting to receive estimates and costs of a contract settlement before the rescheduled meeting.
