He was born March 13, 1927, in Algonquin, Ill., as the son of Erdman William and Augusta Rehberg Timm.
During World War II he served in the US Army, earning the rank of Sergeant. He was honorably discharged from military service Nov. 12, 1946.
Ronald was employed as an appliance serviceman, working for Sears in Elgin, Ill., Butler Appliance in Kokomo and Howard Community Hospital in Kokomo.
He married Barbara Ruth McConnaughey Oct. 1, 1950, in Woodstock, Ill. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Terre Haute and the American Legion Post of Greencastle. He enjoyed camping, fishing, reading and working puzzles.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two daughters, Vicki Timm and husband Stephen Aker, Reelsville and Laura Parker and husband Jeff, Bloomington; two sons, Steve Timm and wife Barbara, Reelsville and John Timm and wife Marcia, Amboy, Ind.; grandchildren, Hannah and Grace Aker, Audrey and Calvin Timm, Zachary and Morgan Timm and Rachel, Jessica and Ryan Parker and one great grandson, Johnathan Timm.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor John Stacy officiating.
Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery in Kokomo at 3 p.m. Thursday.
