Honoring Veterans

Monday, November 12, 2007

Jeremy White, son of American Legion Post No. 2 Commander Nick White, was the keynote speaker at the Veterans Day ceremony in the Clay County Courthouse Sunday morning. More than 100 people attended the event, which was moved inside due to inclement weather.

What a wonderful time this was for all who attended. I made sure to take my children so they do not forget what these individuals have done for our Country and our community. Disappointing how small the turn out was, we all need to remember why these men and women do the jobs they do. Please parents, teach your children!!
