Bernice Likens, 82, Harmony, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at 4:14 a.m., at St. Vincent Clay Hospital.
She was born Jan. 11, 1925, in Bowling Green, Ky., the daughter of Ernest Becham and Eula Lockhart Becham. She was married to Harry Likens, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her angel collection. Bernice attended several area churches, most recently she attended the Way of the Cross Church. She was a resident of the Pines Apartments for more than 20 years and had a close group of friends there who will miss her greatly.
Survivors include her three daughters, Faye Morlan, Knightsville, Carol Stasik and husband Ken, Nashville, Tenn., and Sharon English, Greenbrier, Tenn., and one son, Bill Wade, Missoula, Mont., four grandchildren Bill Johnson, Stephanie Pike, Dawn Jones, and Todd Jones, three great-grandchildren, Lindsey Jones, Samantha McCormack and Alex Jones, and her very special cat friend, Smokie.
There will be no services. Cremation will take place and her ashes buried at a later date in Harmony Cemetery.
